Buyer contacts our office late in the evening threatening us. We ask him to allow us to look in to the matter the next day as we did not have anyone in the office - I was checking email/messages from home. Buyer then files a dispute through PayPal citing he was not going to wait.
The next day, we did a password reset to the buyers PayPal email address on the account. Nothing but a scammer trying to get both the account and the PayPal payment back. We've contacted PayPal and we're able to prove we delivered a working account, and as far as anyone could tell, it was still working and registered to the buyers PayPal email address. I will ALWAYS Stand by my accounts and refund/replace whenever necessary, however when you still have control of the account, and I'm able to prove that I'll need to be allowed to view the account to see there is a problem. The customer said they lost control, but the password reset page shows otherwise. Not sure what else I could have done. |
